Hopefully you don't have a bumpy lawn... Yes, your idea is great! But I have a Toro that I would KILL to have that piece on... If you are catching grass and hit a bump, that bag will bounce leaving clippings... sometimes the grass will stick in the gap when it bounces actually holding it open at the bottom and grass will just pour outta there... Great idea, but not if you have a lot of roots or bumps :)

Also check your blade. I fortunately by accident bought a high lift blade and that completely transformed my mtd/briggs rear bagging performance. If your get one your next video will be that your pissed you have to empty the bag so often. LOL

most all present day walk behind mowers don't collect the grass at all, even the 1500$ Exmark commercial ones. you're better off mulching the grass if it is not too tall.
That bag needs to be pressure washed... going too long without cleaning will clog the netting. This prevents airflow which is required for the grass to be pushed to the back of the bag.....

This was incredibly helpful 2 me... I hate 2 say it, but as a female, I had no idea why the grass wasn't going in the bag.... come 2 find out that stupid lip was clogged/shut closed and all the grass was spitting out the front.... THANKS MAN!!!!
PUT A DIFFERENT BLADE ON IT. Like a high lift/gator blade. Turned my mower into a vacume. The blade that came with mine was useless.
